The use of alternative transport arrangements other than road vehicles is welcomed. However Mattersey Parish Council would like to see restrictions on HGVs routes to avoid rural villages. Not all villages have weight restrictions but the impact of HGVs on these communities can be considerable. We would like to see a policy to ensure they travel via main 'A' class roads.
