Question 6: What do you think of the draft strategic policy for sustainable transport?

The volume of HGV traffic through Blyth village is already a major cause for concern. Planned industrial developments will worsen the situation.
In the interest of the safety of Blyth residents Blyth PC requests that SP5 be amended to include for:
'All mineral related transport operations to be required to utilise the main highway network and be prohibited from routing through residential areas'.
Also contributing to:
* Strategic Objective 5 - Minimising impacts on communities
* DM1 - Protecting Local Amenity
* DM8 - Cumulative Impact
* DM9 - Highways Safety and Vehicle Movements/Routeing
