Question 6: What do you think of the draft strategic policy for sustainable transport?

Representation ID: 30854

Received: 19/09/2018

Respondent: Misson Parish Council

Representation Summary:

Within our local context, para 3.4.5. is of particular relevance. An agreement was made with Hansons that they would not route vehicles via Misson Village whereas it is understood that no similar arrangement was applied to the other nearby quarry operated by Martin Rowley. As a consequence some large articulated or eight-wheeled rigid vehicles can be seen travelling through Misson where there are residential properties, parked vehicles, poor sight lines and a school. In future there should be planning conditions that route heavy traffic away from village communities such as ours.
