3.91 CAGE notes that NCC is not proposing to safeguard Besthorpe Wharf, which it states is 'in a remote greenfield location' and 'poorly connected to the road network'. It is however placed to bring remotely sourced inert fill into an area where there are many existing gravel workings - maintaining the potential for future land-surface recovery. For this reason CAGE asks that this be reconsidered.
