Draft Nottinghamshire Minerals Local Plan

Representation ID: 31140

Received: 28/09/2018

Respondent: Mrs Jackie Armstrong

Representation Summary:

CAGE believes that direct access to the trunk roads of the A1 and A46 is essential for the Bantycock Quarry to prevent unacceptable harm to local residents on roads leading from the site. The congestion and capacity issues around Newark continue to worsen and much local traffic is being displaced onto minor rural rat-runs, bringing it into conflict with quarry traffic from this site. The uncertainty in the eventual completion of Newark's southern relief road, required to serve significant new housing developments in the immediate area, is extremely disappointing.
