The proposed Coddington quarry would cause gridlock in the Coddington area. It already suffers from heavy traffic due to the convergence of A1/A17/A46. The A17 is the main route to South Lincs and Norfolk for lorries and caravans.
Newark Showground currently causes congestion, this affects the area and travel into Newark and impacts onto the A1 slip road, causing quequing on the A1 itself which is dangerous.
Beckingham Road and Drove Lane in Coddington, in particular turning Drove Lane into a "rat run". This will reduce the quality of village life.
