Minerals Local Plan Issues and Options consultation

Representation ID: 30374

Received: 13/01/2018

Respondent: Mrs Jackie Armstrong

Representation Summary:

The geographical spread of sand and gravel quarries needs to include sites in neighbouring Counties to allow distances to markets to be minimised. Plan 3 should include all quarries outside of the county boundaries for 20 miles, and the available transport routes. This will demonstrate cumulative traffic impacts both in Nottinghamshire and the impacts of gravel extraction around the Nottinghamshire borders with other Counties, and clarify the spatial relationships between markets and resources.
