We are pleased to note that flood risk has been identified as a key influence in the Plan area. We note that geological influence is mentioned in para 3.2 but does not appear to be expanded upon in the follow-on text. The geology of the landscape is an important factor when assessing whether the construction and operation of new (waste) infrastructure has the potential to cause a pollution risk to the water environment (ground and surface waters). This will be of particular relevance in areas underlain by (Principle) Aquifers and adjacent to watercourses.
